I have always been a fan of De’Longhi products because they are guaranteed to conquer the test of time. So when my husband and I wanted to get a new coffee machine for our new kitchen, we immediately opted for De’Longhi because of their great reputation. After comparing the specs and features of one De’Longhi coffee maker with another one, we finally decided to get the De’Longhi BCO410 Combi. We’ve had this machine for a month now and so far it is working brilliantly!

First of all, a combi machine is a coffee maker that combine both espresso coffee machine and drip coffee maker (filter coffee). Basically you can buy one machine and enjoy 2 types of coffee. It saves space and it looks kind of high tech.

Personally, the main reason why I like this coffee machine is because of its flexible and versatile nature. It is a front-loading 15-bar espresso, and at the same time, filter coffee machine. For its reasonable price, we get to make either espresso or filter coffee, depending on what suits our taste. It is also versatile in the sense that while some coffee machines are only constricted to the usage of either Easy Serving Espresso pods or ground coffee, the De’Longhi BCO410 Combi allows us to use both ESE pods and ground coffee. This is a good thing for me since I find ESE pods quite expensive sometimes.

Good Features on Both Sides

It also has a massive capacity and can fill up as many as 10 cups, which means that my husband and I don’t have to constantly brew coffee if we want some more. Aside from the huge capacity, it also comes with a lot of wonderful features just like the crema filter holder and the adjustable steam emission on the espresso side and the jug warmer and water filtration system on the filter side.

I also appreciate that this coffee maker uses paper filters since they are easier to dispose, cheaper and more convenient to use compared to a built-in filter. The trouble of using a built-in filter is that you have to detach it and clean it after use.

I could have given this product a 5-star rating however, I don’t like that its exterior finish is made out of plastic. It makes me uneasy because of the negative things that the use of plastic in any kitchenware can bring to the body.

Can’t go wrong with this DeLonghi combi coffee machine

Still, it’s a very nice product and a machine worthy of a positive feedback. It’s got all the basic factors that a smart consumer must consider in choosing a coffee maker plus so much more. One can never really go wrong with this De’Longhi product.

With this coffee machine, you can have the best taste of both espresso and filter coffee. Tip: I suggest you read the manual first. It’s a bit misleading but informative nonetheless. Doing so will help you get the most out of this machine. Also, try to preheat the steamer first if you’re making a cappuccino to shorten its brewing time.
